Sheffield based Smart Innovations is a product development company specialising in innovative products.
On completion of conceptual work for a new infant's soother design by Smart Innovations there was a requirement for the speedy development of marketing collateral and presentation material.
Smart Innovations approached Fripp with a series of hand drawn sketches detailing dimensions, forms and an ideal material choice for the device. Within a day, Fripp had generated the necessary CAD file and a series of photorealistic renders including contextual renders for presentations and leaflets.
During the course of a further project, physical prototypes were developed. Built on Fripp Design and Research's inhouse 3D colour printer these soft, full colour, flexible parts were produced at a fraction of the price of traditional polyurethane part manufacture and together with components from existing soothers formed a functioning prototype.
