Equiinet provides technology to secure and monitor access to the internet. This has particular relevance in education where teachers and parents need the reassurance that children surfing the internet are not accessing undesirable sites. The technology also allows you to store pages from the internet so you can browse 'off line' (this is critical when you have lots of pupils trying to access the internet at the same time).
Fripp Design and Research were approached to find new market opportunities for the technology. After thorough research it became clear to us that the market for Equiinet's technology is Education. Although this was not the desired outcome by the company, Equiinet refocused its efforts in education and has seen significant growth since. Recently their success was recognised as one of the top 100 tech companies by the Sunday Times.
