Fripp Design and Research are passionate about education and learning and were delighted to help Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council run a Masterclass in design.
Fripp Design and Research were approached by Rotherham Council to develop and deliver a problem solving NVQ qualification for 14-16 years olds using design. Fripp Design and Research developed a series of workshops (12 in all) which were held on Saturday mornings to accomodate the childrens academic time table. The sessions covered the introduction and basic training on CAD software, the importance of research and how to research effectively. The course specifically focused on how design is used to solve commercially valuable problems. All of the students passed the course.
Since then Fripp Design and Research has been an active supporter of the Governments new Engineering Diploma course and is an Employer Champion.
